University presentations

On the 13th of November Lowell Sheppard and Isa Rondon Ichikawa visited the Aichi Shukutoku University to talk to students about HOPE’s activities and the rise of volunteerism in Japan.
In the last eight years the NPO sector in Japan has grown exponentially and with it the volunteer movement. About 3% of all NPOs in Japan focus on International Cooperation, all others are focused on domestic issues. Thanks to HOPE supporters and sponsors since 2008 HOPE International Develoment Agency Japan's budget is in the top 5% range of all NPOs in Japan.
The students had many question on HOPE's activities and how they could also help a NPO/NGO like HOPE.

愛知淑徳大学で講演を行いました。

11月13日、ロウェル・シェパードと市川伊沙は、愛知淑徳大学の学生たちに向け、ホープの活動と日本でのボランティア活動の高まりについて講演をしました。
ここ8年間で、日本におけるNPOは飛躍的な成長を遂げました。日本のNPO全団体のうち約3％が国際協力に取り組んでおり、その他の団体はすべて国内の問題に焦点を当てています。支援者やスポンサーの皆様のおかげで、今年度ホープの予算規模は、日本のNPO団体の上位に入っています。
学生たちからはホープの活動について、またホープのようなNPO/NGOを支援するにはどうしたらいいか、などの質問がありました。
